Collection of Information
In providing your name and contact details, you are providing consent to use your details for the use intended:
- When signing up for news, you consent to add your details to the mailing list for regular newsletters. This list will not be shared with third parties.
- When submitting a story, you consent to your name being published on the website alongside the story you have provided. Your email address will not be published, and only used by NNTC staff to contact you if clarification is required on your submission.
- When signing the petition, you consent to your details being compiled and forwarded to relevant Ministers of the Australian Governments, in conjunction with the letter provided on the website.
In administering this website, the National Native Title Council gathers the following information:
- Visitor logs and statistics
- Information provided by users through email inquiries.
The following information is collected through visitor logs and statistics:
- Visitor server addresses and domains
- The times and dates the site was visited
- The pages visitors accessed and files downloaded
- Visitors’ browsers and operating systems.
The purpose of collecting this information is to provide statistical information used for service improvement and system administration. The additional information does not identify individual users but does identify the computer that is used to access our site. Logged information is not disclosed outside of project staff or those under contract to maintain web server components.
Cookies and web scripts
Pages on this site are coded with scripts from Google Analytics. This software stores a cookie in your browser, which contains a unique identifier, and sends information to Google Analytics. This enables Google Analytics to track the number of unique visitors to this site. In no way does this unique identifier identify a user personally.
